Who We Are

Based in Walton-on-Thames, the 9th Walton Scout Group has been helping young people grow in confidence, resilience, and independence for over 56 years. We’re part of the UK Scouting movement, offering a safe and inclusive space for young people to try new things, make new friends, and develop skills for life.

We meet weekly during term time and regularly host camps, hikes, and special events throughout the year.

9th Walton is an amazing group to be in. All of the leaders are amazingly kind and make people feel welcome. As a former Beaver, Cub, and Scout these experiences will stay with me forever.

Beavers

6-8 years
Small people, big adventures.

Beavers is all about having fun, making friends, and trying new activities. From crafts to mini expeditions, Beavers gain confidence and learn through play.

Cubs on parade

Cubs

8-10.5 years
Skills for life, one badge at a time.

Cubs take on more responsibility and get stuck into real adventures—camping, cooking outdoors, learning teamwork, and earning badges along the way.

Air Scouts

10.5-14 years
Challenge accepted.

Scouts tackle bigger challenges—flying, planning hikes, learning survival skills, and supporting their community. It’s about pushing boundaries and growing as young leaders.
